Item availability (in-store and on our website)

The Art History 101 website and our stores may have differing availability and varying inventory of certain items. In some cases, we may offer items for sale exclusively on our website or at our store.

Every product offered for sale on our website indicates the remaining stock availability for that specific item underneath of its price. To determine if we have a specific item in stock, locate the product listing and choose your desired size.  If we do not have the item in stock, you will be given the opportunity to place that product on back-order for items we will continue to produce.

How do I place an order by phone?

How secure are online payments?

All transactions made on the Art History 101 website are secure and private. Our networks, servers and point-of-sale systems utilize cutting edge SSL encryption to protect your personal information and payment data.

We do not store your credit card details on our servers. All of the payment methods accessible or linked to your account from within your customer dashboard are stored by the specific payment provider, processor or bank.

Payments by credit card on this website will appear on your bank statements as “ARTHISTORY101.COM SHOP”.

In addition to encryption, we enforce the security of payments through the Secure 3D payment system for Visa, Mastercard and AMEX cards equipped with this feature. Upon making payment, an additional step takes place which verifies the cardholder’s identity and confirms the transaction. This service is provided by (and specific to) each bank. For any questions concerning your 3D Secure code or service, please contact your bank directly.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept most major credit cards and digital payment providers, including:

We do NOT accept the following forms of payment:

– COD
– Checks
– Layaway Payments
– Credit or debit cards which are not issued by the above-mentioned providers from Afghanistan, Angola, Central African Republic, Cote d’Ivoire, Cuba, Egypt, Ghana, Iran, Iraq, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Liberia, Libya, Myanmar, Nigeria, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Ukraine, and Uruguay.

Why isn't my payment going through?

Payments made for products purchased on our website can fail for several common reasons.

1. Incorrect Billing Details

Make sure that the name and address provided in the Billing section of our checkout process match the credit or debit card you’re using for payment. Orders may be cancelled automatically for failure to provide accurate information.

2. Locked Card

Most major credit card issuers now provide a feature allowing consumers to temporarily “lock” their cards. It is fairly common for people to forget that they’ve locked their card, causing for unexplained payment failures.

3. Automated Fraud Prevention

In the event your bank’s automated fraud protection system detects purchases which may appear unusual based on your typical spending habits, they may block the transaction or suspend use of your card. Contact your bank or card issuer using the phone number provided on the back of the card. They may require you to answer questions for the purpose of verifying your identity.

How do I make payment using a Gift Card (or eGift Card)?

Art History 101 offers both physical gift cards and digital eGift Cards.

After you’ve added the desired items to your shopping cart, you can make payment for your order using a gift card by entering the card number in the section provided just above the Credit Card payments option.

Do you accept PayPal or Venmo?

Yes, ArtHistory101.com accepts both PayPal and Venmo (now a PayPal service).

If you’re making payment using PayPal, you can proceed through the standard checkout process. Then select the “PayPal or Venmo” option located just under the Credit Card form (as shown below).

What are the benefits of pre-ordering?

Art History 101 produces limited quantities of most products. Pre-ordering allows our customers to reserve limited-release or highly anticipated items in advance and ensures their purchase is shipped quickly upon release.
